NOVEMBER BEAUTY FAVOURITES: HAIRCARE PRODUCTS

Hola chic@s!! Después de mucho tiempo, os traigo un post de belleza. Os cuento de los productos que he empezado a usar para el pelo y que me están yendo bastante bien. Siempre estoy buscando productos para cabello rizado y seco, con mechas, encrespado; y la mayoría de las veces lo que compro no termina de funcionar. Mi pelo es rizado, grueso y seco, además se encrespa con facilidad, sobre todo en invierno, dada la humedad que hay en Marbella. Si que es cierto que cuando voy a climas mas secos, es necesario que me hidrate el pelo pero no tengo que luchar contra el encrespamiento, también influye, el agua con la que te lavas el pelo. Al menos por esta zona el agua contiene mucha cal y si no hidratas lo suficiente el pelo, acabas con un felpudo por pelo, entre la cal, la humedad y el frío. Pues bien, a últimos del mes de Octubre, mi cuñada fue ha hacer la compra y compró un pack de champú y acondicionador TRESemmé Volumen Irresistible. Cuando lo ví dije: "Precisamente lo que yo necesito no es volumen", ya que según la recomendación del uso del champú es revertir la rutina del lavado y como primer paso usar el acondicionador TRESemmé Volumen Irresistible y después usar el champú TRESemmé Volumen Irresistible, ya que, según la teoría de TRESemmé si primero usamos el champú y después el acondicionador, el cabello termina sin volumen (Será la que no tenga...). 

Mi idea sobre esta teoría no era que funcionaba, o al menos como yo quería, así que como es evidente, además de no querer más volumen del que tengo y en el caso en que estén en lo cierto, lo he estado usando como toda la vida, primero el champú. Os puedo decir que hacía muchos años que no usaba TRESemmé, pero al usarlo he recordado que dejaba una sensación muy buena de limpieza, ya que una de las cosas que le pido a un champú es que haga espuma, ya que me hace sentir que lo lava mejor. Además de esto, dado que ahora tengo el pelo muy largo además de tener mucha cantidad, me hace falta más cantidad de champú, pero con este, al hacer bastante espuma, no necesito tanta cantidad. Después, uso el acondicionador TRESemmé Volumen Irresistible (Sí, como yo quiero, invirtiendo las instrucciones del manual). El acondicionador desenreda muy bien el cabello, además de dejarlo suave y sedoso, con sensación de hidratación. Suelo peinarme el cabello dentro de la ducha con los dedos, siempre de arriba hacia abajo y con los dedos en forma de púas abiertas. 

Hi guys!! After a long time, I bring you a post about beauty. I’ll tell you about the products I have started using on my hair which are pretty good. I am always looking for products for curly, frizzy, dry hair with highlights; and most of the time what I buy doesn’t work out. My hair is curly, thick and dry and it gets frizzy quite easily, specially in winter with the humid air in Marbella. It is true though that when I travel to drier areas I must hidrate my hair but I don’t have to fight the frizziness. The water you wash your hair with also affects, over here the water has a lot of limescale and if you don’t hidrate your hair properly you end up with a doormat because of this humidity and cold. At the end of October my sister in law went shopping and brought a shampoo and conditioner pack TRESemmé Beauty-full Volume. When I saw it I said “more volume is not what I precisely need”. According to TRESemmé you have to reverse your washing routine by using first the TRESemmé Beauty-full Volume conditioner and then the TRESemmé Beauty-full Volume shampoo, otherwise they say you end up with less volume (I guess that is for those who don’t have any volume...).

My idea about this theory is that it doesn’t work, or at least how I wanted it but evidently I don’t want any more volume and if they are right I have been using it like it's always been done, first the shampoo. I can tell you I hadn’t used TRESemmé for years but after using it again I remembered that it left a good clean sensation yet it makes quite a lot of foam which I like and I feel it is washing better. On top of this, my hair is longer now and I have a lot of hair so I usually need more shampoo but not with this one since it makes quite a lot of foam. After that, I use the TRESemmé Beauty-full Volume conditioner (yes, how I want it and not the way they say). The conditioner untangles the hair very well and it leaves it very smooth, silky and hidrated. I usually brush my hair in the shower with my fingers always from top to bottom with my fingers forming a comb.

Al salir de la ducha siempre escurro un poco el pelo, nunca retorciendo, sino estrujando con las manos de arriba hacia abajo también.  Lio una toalla en el pelo y la dejo unos quince minutos, dependiendo de si después lo voy a secar o no, que últimamente lo que hago es dejarlo al aire y no hago uso del secador, ya que siempre es mejor para que el cabello no sufra.

Getting out of the shower I always squeeze my hair a bit, never twisting it but rather pressing it from top to bottom with both hands. I then roll it in a towel and wait about 15 minutes depending if I’m later using a blowdryer or not. Lately I just let it air dry and I don’t use a dryer, it is better so that your hair does not suffer so much.

Una vez quitada la toalla, aplico el Aceite Elixir Ultime de Kérastase en su formula normal, aunque también tienen desde hace poco una formula light para cabellos finos. Digamos que el Elixir Ultime es como “la salvación”. Lo uso cada día después de desenredar el pelo por la noche, por la mañana antes de salir a la calle, cuando estoy en casa y lo noto fosco y sin vida, siempre, y cuando digo siempre es que soy absolutamente adicta. He intentado usar otros aceites como el de argán, el de almendras, pero ninguno me hidrata tanto. Varias veces he comprado el aceite extraordinario de L´oréal, pero aparte del olor que es muy bueno, no le encuentro la utilidad de hidratación, ya que sí, al ponerlo en el pelo lo deja aceitoso e hidratado al principio, después esta sensación de hidratación desaparece y solo queda un poco aceitoso pero no hidratado, sino fosco pero aceitoso, no sabría como explicarlo. Es cierto que el Elixir Ultimate de Kérastase es mas caro, su precio es de unos 29 Euros o al menos eso pago yo cuando voy a la peluquería y lo compro de paso. También lo podéis encontrar en Amazon a varios precios o en tiendas especializadas. Os prometo que merece la pena.

Como ya os he dicho, normalmente el pelo no me lo seco y si lo hago, es con aire templado y peinándome a la vez con un TANGLE TIZZER Salon Elite, es fácil de usar y al no tener mango es mas cómodo. Si lo aliso o hago ondas lo hago con mi plancha Remington Seda, nunca a más de 180 grados, ya que al tener mechas el pelo aguanta menos que si no tuviese el pelo teñido. 

After removing the towel, I use Elixir Ultime oil from Kérastase, the normal formula one although they have since recently a “light” formula for thinner hair. Lets say that Elixir Ultime is like “the salvation”. I use it every day after untangling my hair at night, in the morning before leaving my house, when I’m home, whenever I feel it a little off and lacking life. And when I say every day I mean I am completely addicted to it. I have tried using other oils like argan oil, almond oil, but none of them hidrates me so much. I have purchased the extraordinary oil from L’Oréal but other than its great smell it’s not that useful since it does leave you hair oily and hydrated right after applying it but that sensation goes away later and it only remains oily and not hydrated but rather disordered and oily, I don’t know how to explain it. It’s true that Kérastase's Elixir Ultimate is more expensive, at about 29 euros, or at least that is what I pay for it when I go the hairdresser and buy it on my way out. You can also find it on Amazon at other prices or in specialized shops. I promise it is worth it.

As I said, I usually don’t dry my hair and if I do so, only with warm air and combing it at the same time with a TANGLE TIZZER Salon Elite. It’s easy to use and comfortable since it has no handle. If I flat my hair or curl it I use my Remington Seda iron, never over 180 degrees not to harm it since I have highlights and the hair is more vulnerable than if it wasn’t dyed.

Para terminar, prácticamente nunca uso lacas ya que quiera que no, siempre dejan algún resto y prefiero tener la sensación de limpio aunque esté menos fijado. Si lo noto después de la plancha un poco seco en la zona de las puntas, uso una o dos gotas de aceite Elixir Ultime solo en las puntas, peinando con los dedos abiertos y hacia abajo.

To finish, I almost never use hairspray because they always leave some residue and I prefer having my hair clean even if it is not so fixed. If I feel it a little dry at the ends after using the iron, I use a few drops of Elixir Ultime oil only on the hair ends, combing downwards with open fingers.
